Arrow Knots

Effective date: October 3, 2026 · Policy version 1.1.0

This policy applies to version 1.1.0 and later of the Android game Arrow Knots: Untangle Puzzle (package name com.sugarmount.arrows), published by simpest under the developer name SugarMount (“we”, “us”). It describes, based on the actual implementation, what data the app handles and what it does not.

1. Summary

Starting with version 1.1.0, this game shows ads (Google AdMob, with Liftoff Monetize mediation) and offers in-app purchases through Google Play. To serve ads, the ad SDKs may process the advertising ID, device and network information and similar data. We run no servers of our own, there are no accounts, no analytics tools of our own and no Firebase, and your game progress is stored only on your device.

2. Permissions and internet access

The Android permissions the app uses, and what for:

  • Vibration (VIBRATE): haptic feedback during play, for example when an arrow is blocked. You can turn vibration off in the pause menu.
  • Internet (INTERNET) and network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): loading ads, showing the ad consent screen, and checking purchases with Google Play. The game itself can be played without an internet connection, and if ads cannot load, play simply continues with no penalty.
  • Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) and the Android Privacy Sandbox permissions merged in by the ad SDKs (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS): serving ads and measuring ad performance.
  • Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): buying in-app products and restoring purchases.
  • The ad SDKs also merge in technical permissions they need to run (WAKE_LOCK and FOREGROUND_SERVICE for background work, com.amazon.privacypass.ATTEST from the Liftoff SDK, and similar). None of these give access to personal data.
  • The app does not request permissions such as location, contacts, camera, photos/storage or microphone. We do not run any servers for the app.

3. Ads and ad consent

The game shows ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and, through AdMob mediation, also receives ads from Liftoff Monetize (Vungle). Ads appear only in these formats:

  • A banner ad at the bottom of the game screen
  • Occasional interstitial ads, only after you clear a level and move on to the next one (never when you lose a level or in the middle of a level)
  • Rewarded ads that play only when you choose them (continue after losing all hearts; get an extra hint)
  • App open ads that may appear when you return to the app after leaving it

To serve ads, measure their performance and prevent abuse, the ad SDKs may collect and process the following under each company's policies:

  • The advertising ID and device identifiers
  • Device information (model, OS version, etc.) and network information (such as IP address, which may be used to estimate the device's approximate location)
  • Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks)
  • Diagnostic information (ad SDK performance and errors)

This data is collected and processed by Google and Liftoff; we do not access it directly. Please refer to each company's documentation for the exact items and purposes.

Consent and changing your choice

  • The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show an ad privacy consent screen before loading ads where the law requires one (the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and similar). The game keeps working even if you do not consent.
  • Where consent is required, the pause menu shows Privacy settings, where you can change your choice at any time. Where consent is not required, this item does not appear.
  • In Android Settings under Google > Ads (or Privacy > Ads), you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.
  • If you buy Remove ads, the app no longer shows banner, interstitial or app open ads. Rewarded ads stay available as an option you can choose when you want.

4. In-app purchases

The app offers two one-time products through Google Play Billing:

  • Remove ads (remove_ads): removes banner, interstitial and app open ads and gives 10 hints. Rewarded ads remain optional.
  • 15 hints (hint_pack_15): gives 15 hints.
  • Payment details such as your payment method, card number, name and billing address are handled by Google Play and are not shared with us.
  • The app only receives the purchase state and purchase token from Google Play to unlock the item. Whether you own Remove ads and how many hints you have are stored only on your device; Remove ads can be restored from Google Play.
  • Refunds and purchase history follow Google Play's policies and procedures. Google Play Terms of Service

5. Accounts

The game does not create accounts or require sign-in. Because we hold no user accounts, there is no separate account deletion feature.

6. Feedback and reviews

  • Tapping Send feedback in the pause menu opens your mail app with the recipient (sugarmount21@gmail.com), the app version, Android version and device model filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself, and we only receive what you choose to send. You can edit or remove any of it before sending.
  • We use emails only to answer you and fix problems; we do not use them for anything else or share them with third parties.
  • The app may occasionally show Google Play's in-app review card. Ratings and reviews are handled by Google Play, and the app does not receive their content.
