Block Turn

Effective date: October 4, 2026 · Policy version 1.0.0

This policy applies to the Android game Block Turn (Korean name 한판블록, package name com.sugarmount.blocks), published by simpest under the developer name SugarMount (“we”, “us”). It describes, based on the actual implementation, what data the app handles and what it does not.

1. Summary

This game shows ads (Google AdMob, with Liftoff Monetize mediation) and sells a remove-ads product through Google Play billing. To serve ads, the ad SDKs may process the advertising ID, device and network information and similar data. We run no servers of our own, there are no accounts, no analytics or crash reporting tools of our own and no Firebase, and your game progress and settings are stored only on your device.

2. Permissions and internet access

The app uses the following Android permissions:

  • Vibration (VIBRATE): haptic feedback when you place pieces or clear lines. You can turn it off in Settings.
  • Internet (INTERNET) and network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): to load ads, show the ad consent screen and check purchases with Google Play. The game itself works offline, and the “Today’s Turn” puzzle is generated on your device. If ads cannot load, you simply keep playing.
  • Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) and the Android Privacy Sandbox permissions added by the ads SDK (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION, ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS): to show ads and measure ad performance.
  • Google Play billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): to buy the remove-ads product and restore it.
  • The ad SDKs also add technical permissions they need to run (WAKE_LOCK and FOREGROUND_SERVICE for background work, com.amazon.privacypass.ATTEST from the Liftoff SDK, and similar). These do not give access to personal data.
  • The app does not request location, contacts, camera, photos/storage or microphone permissions. We run no server for this app.

3. Ads and ad consent

This game shows ads with Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and, through AdMob mediation, also receives ads from Liftoff Monetize (Vungle). Ads appear only in these formats:

  • A banner at the top of the game screen (not on the home screen or during the tutorial)
  • An occasional interstitial, only when you tap “Next” after a game ends (never during a game)
  • Rewarded ads that play only when you choose them (3 new pieces when you are stuck in classic, the first move in a 3-Move Turn puzzle)
  • An app open ad that may appear when you return to the app after being away for 4 minutes or more

To show ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud, the ad SDKs automatically collect the following data under each company’s policies, and may share it for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS).

  • Device or other IDs: the Android advertising ID, the app set ID and other device identifiers
  • Approximate location: the IP address, which may be used to estimate the device’s general location (country or region). The app requests no location permission, so precise location such as GPS is not available to the ad SDKs.
  • App activity (app interactions): app launches and interactions with ads such as impressions, taps and video views
  • App info and performance (diagnostics): launch time, hangs, errors and performance of the app and the ad SDKs
  • Other device information (manufacturer, model, OS version, language) and network information (carrier, connection type)

Google and Liftoff collect and process this data; we have no direct access to it. For the exact data and purposes, please see each company’s information:

Consent and changing your choices

  • The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP). Where the law requires it (the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland, US states with privacy laws, and similar), it shows an ad privacy consent screen or notice before loading ads. You can play without consenting.
  • Where consent is required, Privacy options appears in Settings, and you can change your choices or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information there at any time. It does not appear where it is not required.
  • In Android Settings under Google > Ads (or Privacy > Ads), you can reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized ads.
  • Once you buy Remove ads, banner, interstitial and app open ads are no longer shown. Rewarded ads remain available only when you choose them.

4. In-app purchase

The app offers one one-time product through Google Play billing:

  • Remove ads (remove_ads): removes banner, interstitial and app open ads. Rewarded ads remain available when you choose them.
  • Payment details such as payment method, card number, name and billing address are handled by Google Play and are never passed to the app or to us.
  • The app only receives the purchase state and purchase token from Google Play to apply the product. Whether you own Remove ads is stored only on your device, and Restore purchase in Settings reloads it from Google Play.
  • Refunds and purchase history follow Google Play’s policies and procedures. Google Play Terms of Service

5. Accounts

The game does not create accounts or require sign-in. Since we keep no user accounts, there is no separate account deletion feature.

6. Sharing and reviews

  • After you solve a 3-Move Turn puzzle, tapping Share opens the Android share sheet. Only a short text with the puzzle number and result plus the Google Play link is passed to the app you pick yourself; nothing is sent to us. What you share is handled under the policy of the app you chose.
  • The app may occasionally show Google Play’s in-app review card. Ratings and reviews are handled by Google Play and the app does not receive them.
