Compress Image (SugarCompress)

Effective date: September 23, 2026

This policy applies to the Android app Compress Image – SugarCompress (package name com.sugarmount.sugarcompress), published by simpest under the developer name SugarMount (“we”, “us”). It describes, based on the actual implementation, what data the app handles and what it does not.

Account informationNot collected. The app has no accounts.—

2. Photos and files

  • Only the photos you pick through the Android photo picker are handed to the app. The app does not request permission to read your whole storage.
  • Compression, resizing, previews and saving all happen on your device. Your photos, result files and file names are never sent to our servers or to any third party. We do not operate a server for this app.
  • Original photos are never modified or deleted. Results are saved as new files only when you choose to save them.
  • File names, paths, photo contents and EXIF data are never included in usage stats or crash reports.

3. Ads and ad consent

The free version shows ads through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve ads and prevent abuse, the ad SDK may collect and process the following under Google's policies:

  • Device identifiers and the advertising ID
  • IP address (which may be used to estimate the device's approximate location)
  • Interactions with ads (impressions, clicks) and app usage information
  • Diagnostic information (ad SDK performance and errors)
  • Other items listed in the Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure

This data is collected and processed by Google; we do not access it directly. Please refer to Google's documentation for the exact items and purposes.

Consent and changing your choice

  • The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show an ad privacy consent screen where your region requires one. The app's free features keep working even if you do not consent.
  • You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings > Ad privacy options.
  • You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings under Google > Ads.
  • If you purchase Pro, the app no longer shows ads.

4. Usage stats and crash reports

Both options are on by default, and each can be switched off in the app's Settings. Neither ever includes your photos, file names or photo contents. Activity from while an option was off is not sent later, even if you turn it back on.

Send anonymous usage stats (Firebase / Google Analytics)
Sends minimal anonymous app usage events that help us see which steps fail, together with device information (model, OS version, app version, etc.). Photos, file names and photo contents are never included.
Send crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
When the app crashes or hits an error, sends technical crash details (the error, device model, OS version, app version, etc.). Photos, file names and photo contents are never included.

Turning an option off stops collection and sending from that point on. Data already sent is kept according to Google's retention settings; turning the option off in the app does not delete existing data on Google's servers. If you would like it deleted, please contact us below.

5. Pro purchase

  • Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play Billing. Payment details such as your payment method, name and billing address are handled by Google Play and are not shared with us.
  • The app only checks the purchase state provided by Google Play to remove ads and apply the larger batch limit.
  • Refunds and purchase history follow Google Play's policies and procedures. Google Play Terms of Service

6. Accounts

The app does not create accounts or require sign-in. Because we hold no user accounts, there is no separate account deletion feature. Settings the app stores on your device are removed when you uninstall the app.

7. Retention and deletion
